Learn what information is used for Monetrix advertisements on Fopoto and how to change your advertising choice.

Automatic advertising

When advertising is enabled, visible ad placements automatically request ads from Monetrix and its advertising partners. No permission popup is shown. You can turn ads off using Ad preferences at the bottom of the page. Your saved opt-out and browser privacy signals are respected. An ad may not be available for every request.

Information used for ad requests

Ad requests may include browser and device information, screen dimensions and pixel density, language, the page being viewed, and the available ad size. Your IP address may be included when it is available from a trusted server connection.

Advertising partners and cookies

Advertisements can load content and tracking tools from Monetrix and its advertising partners. These companies may receive browser, device and page information and may use cookies or similar technologies.

Your choice and withdrawal

Use “Ad preferences” at the bottom of any page where advertising controls are enabled. “Keep ads off” declines advertising; “Turn ads off” withdraws a previous choice. Turning ads off immediately removes ads and stops new advertising requests on the current page. Your choice is remembered for future pages only after it is successfully saved. If saving fails, the panel tells you; reloading may restore your previous choice. Withdrawal does not recall information already sent or erase cookies previously set by third parties; those can be managed through your browser.

We use a cookie on this site to remember your advertising choice for up to 180 days. When automatic advertising starts, it also holds a random publisher identifier that we send to Monetrix as your anonymous advertising user ID. It does not contain your name or email. Refusing ads removes that identifier from the new choice cookie. If you clear site cookies, automatic advertising may resume when advertising is available.

A detected Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control browser signal keeps advertising off, even if you previously allowed ads. If preferences cannot be checked, advertising stays off for that page.

Scope of these controls

Ad preferences control Monetrix advertising only. They do not control the site’s separate analytics, including Google Analytics.
